No I wasn't but that doesn't mean I haven't heard AU fans say stuff like that ALL OVER the place.
If you're saying that people here shrugged him off because it was just a CCNT then that just shows their ignorance, because Newton was pretty much all that school had and it showed last year when they didn't do shite and Fran's boy left to go coach for daddy this season.

He had offers from AU and MState along with one from OU offering him as a TE. Sure some of that had to do with the laptop but nobody had a clue that he was going to be anything near what he wound up. You honestly believe that a few more schools wouldn't have taken a chance on a kid over a dropped charge if they had a clue he was half the player he turned out to be? And don't give me any crap about they knew he was on the take because by all parties admission money wasn't even talked about with State until his OV on Nov 28th. Hell until about 2 months ago over 50% of this board thought he would be a TE within a year or 2.
