In the middle of his “I’m coming” bit in his speech:

“This isn’t about ESPN or TV, this is real…(then a bit later)… There ain’t gonna be no hats in our meetings…I’m coming.”

All said while wearing a baseball cap with his suit and a giant camera two feet to his right at floor level facing up for the hero shot.

Dude may be a great coach, but he’s full of it if he doesn’t have the self-awareness to recognize that he has always been equal parts substance and showman.

ETA: The fact that he ended his first players meeting by making sure to get a social media post up with the team saying “I’m coming” behind him was pretty cringe-worthy.

He knows exactly who is he is and what he is doing.

i'm anxious to see just how much he dominates recruiting.

for him to get the number 1 recruit to go to jsu, holy shite..........all of the top recruits will want to play for him in colorado.

That's the big question - he seems to not only be good at recruiting (no shite, he's Deion, kids are gonna want to play for him) but at turning it all into wins (so far).

If he stays 4 years he'll win make the CFP. But I don't think he'll stay 4 years.

I just don’t think he sounded like there was a lot of substance. It was entirely hype. Then, when they got to the questions, he really only gave a real answer to one (about the off season), and that one was a partial answer at best.

Great players don’t always translate to great coaches or GMs. Jordan is a good example there and he seemed much more focused on substance than Sanders seems. I’m skeptical that Sanders convinced a few kids to go to JSU that wouldn’t normally and this had success. Let’s see if he’s a good enough coach to build a program that can compete with USC or Oregon (or even Utah, Washington, or UCLA).

Colorado is horrible right now, so it’ll take years to get them to good. I expect a bump at first due to increased recruiting, but we’ll know if the substance is there about 4 years in.

Look at the roster and tell me how many 4* and 5* players was going to JSU prior to Prime? And then look at the amount of 4* and 5* players he has now. He flipped the top ranked recruit last year in Travis Hunter. He had a top 100 recruit at QB. He has D1 talent all over the field at JSU.

Some will. I imagine he will recruit California very well. A lot of players want to get paid, compete for conference/natl. championships, and get to the NFL. Remains to be seen if Deion will be able to turn his act into an actual competitive team.

God forbid he reps his new employer.

also, he's branded himself as "Prime". we all know deep down we don't want to see him with a Saban like demeanor and being all "proper". we expect him to wear flat bills and gold chains.

He has always been a showman. I think he can recruit but lets see if he can really coach from the bottom of a competitive PAC12.

IF he can surround himself with actual coaches and coordinators that know X's and O's, he will do okay. He will draw recruits, no doubt.

But yes, he's quite the hypocrite at times.
