Yeah. Columbia has always had the green thing going on, so I guess I just took that for granted and assumed most liberalish college towns were like that. I'm sure NWA's greenbelt system is awesome, especially if they're putting their money and clout behind it.

I think most SEC towns aren't as liberal as you might expect. I feel like Fayetteville is definitely on the liberal end of the spectrum in the SEC.

That seems like a lot of Walmarts to me.

Then Columbia has got to be the San Francisco of the SEC.

(Unclever, obvious responses will be ignored )

When I was living in the Bay Area with my now ex-girlfriend, the joke was if you dropped your wallet on Castro Street, you kicked it over to Embarcadero Street before you tried to pick it up.

Do you think y'all have a higher percentage than LSU? I grew up in Houston so I have a skewed perspective but I know a ton of kids that went to LSU. I feel like OU was bigger among DFW kids but I dunno

LSU doesn't have a very high percentage of out of state by comparison.

We're something like 35% out of state. I bet we are at least 15% Texan if not higher. I'd believe 20%.

Not ignored, I just don't have a witty response.

Love SF, never visited Castro.

Is the whole supplement the dumb Arkansans by offering resident rates to bordering states plan still in effect? This is not a troll, I just don't know how to better describe the program.

According to this we are over 16% Texan on the Fayetteville campus. I bet if you take just undergrad, its a lot higher.

When I first got there, me and a bud from my squadron drove up and got lost and ended up there by mistake.

We got out of there in a hurry. Didn't want to be seen there.

Yeah I just found that as well. Can't find LSUs but no way it's that high since they're probably 25% OOS tops. I'm trying to find OUs

I think we give some kind of tuition break for out of state based on a high ACT score and GPA. Its only for states that share a border with Arkansas. It helps us grow while simultaneously raising quality. We have a lot of Missourians here, too. Mostly we get Texas kids from Plano/Frisco/Southlake/McKinney.

IMO the university has grown too large. I think 25,000 students is enough for this town and campus. I think we are expecting 27k next year.
