I didn't. I love Tennessee folks. They founded my country, The Republic of Texas. We are grateful for their support during our fight for independence.

Merry Christmas, proto-Texan

This might be a stretch, but you should feel good about the WR position for 2015.

I feel like I've read this exact thread for the past 4 or so years just replace the individual names with some other Tennessee position group

I'll take the guys we got over any other group in the country. Esp if we add TJ. Tenn is good but there's a lot of teams with great groups.

LSU = WRU

LSU fan inserting their WR's in this thread is arguably more laughable than this entire thread. Travin Dural is their best option and he won't sniff all conference.

I don't know, I don't feel like we really had anything to crow about either this year or last year. 2011 and 2012, maybe...I can't remember having many high hopes about 2010.

Is this year's Tennessee squad their best since 2007?

I don't know. There still may be too much missing on the OL front. 2009 might have been better all around as a team.

But this IS legitimately the year where 6-6 won't do. Butch Jones has certainly sold a lot of us in regards to his recruiting; there need to be results now. I think the expectation is around 8-4 based on where we are in the rebuild, the talent we now have compared to the last few years, and our schedule. 7-5 would be barely tolerable. 6-6 would be disappointing. Missing out on a bowl would be disastertastrophe.

I'd say a really weak one too. Not sure I like living rent free in RockyTop's head. I deserve better.

Yeah, I agree. The talent is there now where we are on more even footing with some of our opponents. The recruiting has been stellar. It needs to start showing on the field.

I wish I could be more confident, but this year's efforts against Florida and Vanderbilt were particularly discouraging vis a vis our coaching staff's acumen. Hopefully it's just a part of the maturation process and not symptomatic of something worse. I'm still like a scalded dog from the Dooley years, where you get your hopes up that maybe you've turned a corner, and then you find out nothing has really changed.

The recruiting is much better than Dooley at least.

No I don't. They never played a single down together as a trio.
