Hilarious that the Rantards are trying to paint it as a bad hire.

It’s an interesting hire, but if nothing else that’s indicator he absolutely can coach.

NAIA means frick all.

There are things to be positive about with DeBoer's thin resume, but the NAIA wins vs. some Indian reservation tech schools aren't one of them.

About 65 of those 102 are at a level just above the Lingerie football League

They better hope he wins.

This will decide who really has the better program: LSU or Bama.

LSU was able to win a NC with Ed fricking Orgeron. IF Bama can't win with deBoer, it says more about them than it does him.

He's a great coach for sure.

The reality is anyone besides Kirby or maybe Harbaugh means there will be reversion from the literal GOAT trend line.

People are just happy Saban is gone.

The fact that people keep pumping his wins at NAIA as if it’s the same tells you they are unsure of this coach

Whole different level of football now.

Hell, Saban had to find out the hard way that the league is lot different than college.

nothing bad has ever happened to any program hiring a head coach who just competed for a national championship with a heisman-caliber qb

I think Alabama made the best possible hire of coaches who were available.

I watched a lot of Washington football this year just because of when they played and the SEC matchups that were airing at the same time.

Let's see what he can do without a Heisman contender at QB.

34-6 and a CFP title game appearance in three full seasons at FBS isn't bad

According to the Tuscaloosa News

"DeBoer inherited a Washington team that in 2021 finished 4-8. He then led the Huskies to 11-2 and 14-1 records in 2022 and 2023, respectively, for a 25-3 combined record in two seasons. Notably, that includes a 3-0 record vs. Oregon's Dan Lanning and 2-0 record vs. Texas' Steve Sarkisian"

He basically has Urban's resume before Florida hired him.

4 years at G5/P5 with the last 2 in the Northwest

Great Record & Top 4 finish in Year 4 before being hired by a SEC School

Proven track record for winning a shite ton of football games

Innovative offensive coach that spreads the field

Both won Conference COTY awards
Both won National COTY awards
Both won Conference Championships

If anything, his resume might be better than Urban's since his last 2 years were in the P5. Utah was a G5 school at the time. The guy is a winner.

But he does need to find a QB. That may be a big problem for him in 2024.

Did he coach any pee-wee football that we want to include in those amazing stats?
