I will be very surprised if we get up and play a good game this week. We are not playing to go to a bowl game and really have nothing to play for. 6th in the west is already locked down. I think we lose like 24-14. I hope I am wrong but I think Relf is going to do what he did to us last year.

Do you have any idea how awful that loss was last year over in Mississippi's armpit? I was unfortunately there and by God I hope we do the same thing to them next week.

I do. In normal years and for normal MSU coaches know that to keep their job when they are not bowling they need to beat Ole Miss. Hence Mullen's count down timer for the egg bowl game last year. The game means the world to them because most of their players are from Mississippi.
Ole Miss coaches know a way to keep their job is to beat LSU. We have a lot of out of state players from Fl, Ga, ect. To the players, the egg bowl is a bigger game for MSU. Also I think after all the emotion from yesterday it is hard to have that same intensity 2 straight weeks.

I hear you. My point is that I hope our guys realize they still have alot to play for. Look what the EB win did for State last year. Hell they road that momentum clear into 2010. A win saturday means alot.

Who knows what will happen, but I damn sure hope we can pull it out. I've got a bunch of friends from high school coming from Starkville and I don't know if I can bear listening to their bullshite
