I am an upper echelon message board poster that has a style many have tried to replicate but none have truly mastered. You not only listen to Corey Smith but also post about it on the internet.

"Rocky Top" is a genuine piece of Americana. It really is.
The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band put it on an album, must have been 1971 or thereabouts.

I had the pleasure of attending the 2015 Edinburgh Royal Military Tattoo and The Citadel Band came out to represent the USA. During their performance, I realized there were probably 150 UT folks in the crowd (out of about 3,000). Go to the 4:00 minute mark.
