Former 5 star prospect has left UGA and appears to be headed to UT. So, why did Gibbs leave UGA?

I knew about JR Reed but not Warrior. Backyard football must have been competitive.

Yup. I remember the Gibbs recruitment coming down to VOLS and GA, we had Warrior committed and JR Reed had transferred in from Tulsa around the same time period.
Most thought JR was just a take to lure Gibbs, shockingly that 2* turned out to be an All SEC player while the two top 50 guys have struggled

Yeah that’s crazy. I remember thinking it was package deal (and probably was) but glad Reed turned out to be so good. Gibbs was really exciting as a signee and I definitely hope things fall in to place for him. Sometimes a change of pace is good for people.
