The 1989 team would get smoked by this team. We had mediocre pitching at best in ‘89. We had a bunch of guys have career years at the plate, and only one future big leaguer.

Vande is a great baseball team with a great program.
This Ags team might be historical but we need to remain humble and focused on the end goal. Winning 2 out of 3 against Vande is huge. If we happen to sweep them then this Aggie team is as special as the 89 team IMO.
But just go ask Tennessee about having a dominate regular season team. Only they got huge heads and lost in embarrasing fashion in Round 1 of NCAA tourney. A nightmare scenario. Stay humble, keeping fighting, keep improving.....

It’s way too early to judge this A&M baseball team. We all think the 89 team is the best ever but….they didn’t even make it to Omaha. This team will be judged in May and June.
