re: Dayum!!!! Paul Finebaum on SEC Network is terrible!

Someone help me out. I know of the crazy callers bc of this board and it's his intro But I've watched his show 3 times now and everything I saw was normal, entertaining football talk. I even like the calls because fans of other conferences call in and it starts real, and different, football talk. I haven't seen an entire show yet but they aren't filled with stupid rednecks screaming the entire time.

I will add that I know it is there though, and I think the show would be much better without it.

Finebaum is pure, unadulterated garbage. His show is even worse. His callers are the worst. Beside the fact that his show may as well just call itself what it is, an SEC west-err-state of Alabama circle jerk/pecker measuring contest, I hate shows that lack any substance and instead rely on the trailer park denizens that take the time to call in and talk football.

I don't listen to sports radio to hear some uneducated jack off talk football. If I wanted to do that I'd go to a bar and listen to some glorified hat racks talk about it. It doesn't help that Finebaum exists only to toss kerosene on the fire. I don't the guy knows diddly shite about football not involving AU or UA. frick, I bet outside of Gurley he knows no one on the UGA roster.

The last time I wasted any time on that show was when I was teased into it by a promo saying he was gonna interview Pruitt at SEC media days in 15 mins. 45 mins of BUT PAWWWWWWWLLLLLLL later they finally did the interview and it was fricking 5 min. And there was like one question about Georgia.

"Hey, Jeremy, thanks for coming. So, why did you leave FSU? Hey, how was it coaching under Saban? How much was Jimbo like Saban? Did Saban mention me? Oh, yea, guess I should ask how your unit looks. How do they compare to Alabama? Hey, remember when you were last in Tuscaloosa? How much better was it than in Tallahassee?"

I was so mad I wasted time driving to JAX listening to that. I'd rather listen to Kesha for an hour.

Is this a joke? Brando may not be everyone's idea of perfect but he's forgotten more about sports than Finebaum will ever know. Not to mention, he has both a sense of humor -and- a personality. Comparing Finebaum to Brando is not even a fair fight and the comparison is ludicrous on it's face. Finebaum may be tolerable for you Bama fans on radio but on TV, he's simply a joke & an embarrassment to ESPN.

Yea, at first I was gonna rep Pawl in this debate b/c I like his interviews and radio voice far more. But if you want to go with somebody with a likeable personality it has to be Brando. I think I'd enjoy having a beer and shooting the shite with Brando. Finebaum... I dunno. He kind of comes across as the type that might become really condescending if you disagree with him. Maybe he's a really nice guy when he isn't doing shtick with crazy radio callers.

I remember one day a few years back he made an attempt at discussing the NFL. It was ludicrous. He literally knows nothing of substance. Just very talented at button pushing.
