And your people won't admit that you just want Miles to stay so you can beat him every year. Touting his "success" is just disingenuous.
Haven't you heard? If we like a head coach who gets fired, we hire him.

Look for Les to be in the booth in some capacity radioing plays down to Saban in the near future.

I don't have a passion for Les. I don't even think he's a great coach. I just understand that great coaches are very rare and hardly ever change jobs. Best case scenario you get an unproven up and comer like Herman and maybe it works out. Maybe.

Well, judging by the intellectual level of many of their posts, I'm guessing that most of them are 12 years old and HAVEN'T seen a coaching change before.

Oh wait, no they aren't. They're whining like little schoolgirls who've pee'd themselves in the middle of class.

I suspect you suffer from one of those forms of autism where you don't recognize social cues. Allow me to explain.

We spent most of the day laughing our butts off about this.

You can tell yourself that we are doing this out of fear that you will hire a better coach and that makes it even more funny.

Should we be terrified that you will hire a coach capable of winning ten or more games a year on a regular basis? You just fired a guy that did precisely that.

This is not fear, its not whining, its mockery. We aren't laughing with you, we are laughing at you.

You know what? You've convinced me. You really are scared.

Thanks for setting me straight.

Really? Coaches change jobs like a baby needs a diaper change and that's how Alabama ended up with Saban. LSU will pony up whatever it takes and get a coach that will do a better job than Miles was doing over the last 4 years and that much is assured. Sorry, Saban will actually have to start working for his money in November.

No they don't. Established great coaches rarely move. You don't think that was a lucky one in a million hire? Have you considered the coaches Bama hired before Saban? Have you considered who UGA, Texaa, USC hired? Has Saban left Alabama even when Texas came calling? Why don't you make a list of the 10 greatest coaches in football. Start with Saban, Meyer, Harbaugh. Now consider which of those you think are leaving, for anywhere

I'm breathing a sigh of relief. Les Miles was a great coach. Thankfully we'll never have to play him again!

Saban won a national championship at LSU and left. Meyer won a national championship at Florida and left. Harbaugh had success at Stanford and left. Saban and Meyer are both getting up in age and won't be on the scene much longer or at least on top. LSU is going to get a good coach - probably a young one who will leave the school where he is having success - and then with LSU's talent, he will win a bunch just like Saban and then we'll be back dealing with a coach wanted by the NFL. Saban will retire and you guys will be trying to outbid the NFL for LSU's coach.
