I really don't understand why you people keep bringing his name to this board. He is a wanna be Finebaum with an ACC (FSU) lean.

Kanell has made himself the most popular analyst by voicing his crazy opinions. Whether espn put him up to it or he did it himself, it's put him on the map.

The whole purpose of the playoff is to get the four best teams and let them play it out, not reward conference champions for winning weak conferences. If the SEC, or any other conference, clearly has 2 or more of the top 4 teams in the country that year, it shouldn't matter that you left out a crappy 2 loss champ from the Big 10 or 12 or whatever. Best four teams, period. This year the SEC clearly has more than 1 of the top 4 teams.

At this point, I'd put in FSU, Oregon, SEC Champ, best SEC team that didn't win conference.
