if he is cleared of this, then BRPD fricked him out of MILLIONS, and the kid has no recourse.

Damn.

Just damn.

He'll be fine. He'll sign anywhere he wants as an UDFA, then be eligible for a new contract after just 2 years while everyone else that gets drafted has to wait till year 3 or 4. just play well and he'll earn a handsome reward.

He will be cheated out of millions.

Hard to work up a "awww shucks. no big deal" over millions of fricking dollars.

How was he cheated out of anything? I mean, yeah it sucks if he's not involved but was the PD supposed to not question him because he was about to get drafted?

They could have kept it quiet.

They DO have that capability, you know.

Yeah, but if they keep it quite, and he's guilty, you screw an NFL team out of millions and a draft pick (which could be a lot more). And you have no other reason to keep it quiet than you wanted to see the kid get paid.

However, for BRPD, I hope it turns out they had a real legitimate reason to question him at that time.

well, he did put this out there

Collins' representatives had told clubs that Collins would refuse to sign with a team that drafted him outside the third round and that Collins would simply re-enter the draft in 2016

he and his agent should bear some responsibility for not getting drafted at all.

Christ, they didn't want him drafted after the first 2 rds. If he plays well he'll make millions more.

Who stands to lose more between the 2, as a percentage of current earnings?

Interfering with a kid's career?

Agree with this. Our fans can cry all they want, but that was pretty stupid on their part.

His agent bears the brunt, since he should have known that going undrafted excludes you from next year's draft.

Keep it quiet. They wanted to question him. He would have had to leave Chicago for that. I guess they should have just put their murder investigation on hold. Its not like "The First 48" hours of a murder investigation is important or anything. Besides, the NFL teams would have or did find out. They spend of lot of time investigating these players.

I hope he goes to the Falcons, to spite the Saints for passing on him.

The BRPD took that information to the papers and the media.

The agent bears the majority. He obviously didn't know the rules of what he wanted to do. It was a massive error in announcing their intentions. Collins should fire and sue that dipshit for his bad counsel.

In the OP, all this is predicated on him being cleared.

If he is involved in the woman and infant's murder, he can rot in buttfrick prison. . .then hell
