Until he beats Kirby regularly I will disagree. This is his fourth year at Florida. If he was a better coach he should be beating Kirby regularly by now. This year and next should tell us a lot, don't you think? He should at LEAST be winning the east, right?
His stints as OC has nothing to do with his HC ability.
And recruiting is part of coaching.
You forget. This is the guy that held Pitts out of the LSU game for no reason, and his QB and WRs had different play arm bands on in another year.
I get that Kirby has had his own miscues, but when Kirby made those mistakes he was in his 3rd and 4th years of head coaching. When Mullen made his mistakes he had been coaching for 12 and 13 years. Mullen is still making those type mistakes. If Kirby is still making those mistakes in another 8-9 years I will line up solidly behind you.

If you flipped the rosters Dan would beat Kirby by 50. Like I said he can’t recruit. He can only coach. Big problem for him.

Honest question...if you flipped the Florida roster and the Alabama roster would he beat Saban? I mean, Kirby has played Alabama closely more often than not even though Alabama has the stronger roster. Does thta mean Kirby is a better coach than Saban?

I understand you mean X's and O's when you say coach, but that is just a very small part of actual coaching. Recruiting, roster management, coach management, ego management of players...these are all what make Saban a great coach.
