Third and Grantham.

The irony is that third and Grantham started with Christian Robinson.

Robinson wasnt good enough to play. But Grantham still liked Christian after he lost his starting job due to finishing plays 6 and 7 yards downfield. Christian was athletic (he just couldnt diagnose a play).

So on third downs, grantham would put Robinson in as the mike linebacker.

Think about your DC for a minute. Pulling out the starting mike who makes all of the calls and adjustments. And putting on a new guy who is too busy running out onto the field to even know the defensive call himself. And he has to be the guy to relay the defensive call to the other players and then call out defensive adjustments based upon personnel or motions.

Thus... third and Grantham was born. And it still lives on today with Christian Robinson (who owes Grantham so much for his career). Grantham could still be in Athens if third and Grantham hadnt evolved by the dumbassery.

Florida's D playing soft...

Yep. To the tune of 1485 yards given up, & 100 points in 3 games. T A&M also converted 14-16 3rd downs. Nice to see that 3rd and Grantham is still a real thing.

A&M crowd noise?!?

I just don't get this. That stadium may have been above 25% capacity, but it was nowhere near full.

Is the vaunted swamp so quiet and docile that 30K Ags are a major disruption to the Gators? Perhaps they should change the mascot to The Fighting Salamanders.

I don't believe for a second that A&M was just at 25% capacity. But frankly they deserve credit for getting that crowd. It was a hell of a game.

But Mullen bitching about the crowd is a bad look, especially when UF's players, when asked in the post game, said they didn't mind the crowd at all.

Mullen's comments were very weak tbh, and a red flag.

Yeah, the more people who get to watch Dan shite the bed the better. After watching that defense some of the fans might welcome COVID.

Mullen has that offense working, no question. UGA needs to stay focused, as both UGA and UF could have one loss after this weekend. It still comes down to execution in Jax for all the marbles.

However, the whining about the crowd noise and the ask for 88k fans in the stadium is a bad look for Mullen.

Unless UF improves on defense, Georgia has a big advantage in this game. Right now I would predict 48-35, mutts. Having said that, there is still time for improvement.

Yea we need massive improvement. Our offense will keep us in any game, but unless we figure out a way to get off the field we arent beating Georgia.

Kyle Trask has the most passing touchdowns in the country right now.

Against one interception.

Our rushing attack is finally decent, offense is perfectly fine.

Defense will get better with a hiring, we have a lot of talent but Grantham is coaching like he's afraid of his own shadow.

We have a championship offense in year three when we basically had almost a decade average of 100+ (or close to it).

We were a fumble away from the last game on the road, it happens. Not like it was a mastermind like Muschamp and South Carolina who beat him or we lost by four touchdowns to someone.

Same place the Kirby lovers went when y'all lost to Carolina last year. Nowhere, is my guess?

Grantham is a good coordinator. Just not as talented on defense this year, especially on the D-line.

Yeah this was like a McElwain excuse, honestly. I have no idea why he brought it up other than to pander to fill the seats. He's complained about that in the past (pre-COVID), I think that's a big part of his contract.

Regardless, bad look.
