MSU has to cheat so hard to get their 3 stars Dan, so hard.

Well, in his defense, every team in the SEC west is likely buying recruits on a SWC 1980s level.

Yeah, every SEC team cheats except for Georgia. The mutts don't have to cheat because every recruit in the country is desperate to play for the most underachieving program in the conference

I never said that UGA didn't cheat. I said the West was cheating on a SWC 1980s level. UGA is just on the typical current SEC level. The proof that UGA obviously isn't buying too many recruits is the number of high profile ones they lose on NSD.

Are you and engie sincerely suggesting that MSU doesn't cheat... That every single recruit and action taken by the athletic department is by the code

Where did I suggest that MSU doesn't buy players? MSU hasn't done anything to raise eyebrows and piss off the big boys in college football -- OM can't say the same. Only one of us are currently under investigation.

Yeah -- MSU must have cheated for all of the 2 and 3*s leading the team.

For real. If Redmond gets a 98 mustang then Beckwith must've gotten a $25 card to Applebee's.

Recruiting rankings say that you and UF recruit just as well as anyone in the west, and Tennessee is close behind.

Don't blame shitty coaching and player development on recruiting.

Yeah, they've got good coaches and stability.

Georgia currenty has the 2nd or 3rd highest rated recruiting class nationally despite not winning a conference championship in a decade or a national championship in over 3 decades. Meanwhile, we are supposed to believe Alabama, Auburn, and LSU all have to cheat SMU style in spite of winning at least 1 national championship in recent years.

Shake the tree for one low 4* with decent offers in Memphis -- burn the place down. Don't bring up Bracky and ruin my high of the season.

In all honesty, we are spending our asses off on this class -- and that was before we started winning.

No, there wasn't. This would imply that Ole Miss lost a bidding war, and Ole Miss doesn't lose bidding wars. (See: Laremy Tunsil)

The actual investigation is over for the football part. They're just trying to decide which wrist to slap.

Women's BB may get the death penalty.

I know Chris personally. We are from the same, very small town and went to the same school. There was no "bid war." He committed early to State and he gave serious late consideration to ole miss. It was very close, ultimately his highschool coaches all MSU fans issued serious ultimatums and had a maybe controversial influence. This is no new phenomena though. Same thing happened with CJ Johnson coming out of south pianola whos head coach is in the tank for ole miss. High school coaches do matter.

see I don't know where to go with this. You could just be pointing out that while they are just secondary violations, the investigation is still real and nothing you said was false. Where I'd just point out you saying we are the only ones who have a recruiting class that raises eyebrows and then bring up us being investigated but leave out that that eyebrow raising class isn't under review just 4 players under a previous coach. That's what makes that an elite post.

But then no one can see elite sarcasm because there has to be consistent logical discussion to be able to tell when someone is joking or not and let's be real, there's none of that going on. So you could have been insinuating that there are more than just secondary violations, which also makes it an elite post.

Anyone who has ever bet the ponies knows the big inside money comes in when they are at the gate. Yes, UGA has had some decent recruiting classes, often 4th or 5th best in the SEC the last few years. But you are right, Auburn's championship had nothing to do with recruiting impropriety.

I haven't read through this entire thread but it seems people actually think that the sip schools out cheated the big boys and that's why we are here. First off go look at any of MSU commits ever and tell me where one looks fishy. Then go look at our big bad cheating 2013 class and give me a kid that only came to OM because we paid him more money than the big schools.

We beat that recruiting power Okie state for Megaquon. Ohhhh how did we ever pull that one off.

We had the #1 player in the country's brother.

The #2 safety in the country lived 20 miles away

We were always in Laremy's top 5 throughout his recruitment but noone listened to him. Out of the top 5 we were the only ones to give his brother a full ride.

We got the top JC player in the country because he's from MS, we placed him in JC two years before, and one class wouldn't transfer to Auburn. If it did, he'd be there and said as much.

It only take a little time to figure out how 2013 happened but people hate facts and love lazy journalism
