The media thinks he can be the next Kirby. I think Kirby is an anomaly.

I agree.

You have the opportunity to hire a dude with 2 natties or some guy who is famous for his pregame talk before Colorado.

Oh. I’m not bothered. Lanning has not much of a resume.

Alabama would be stupid for going after Lanning over DeBoer. DeBoer beat Lanning twice this year despite having inferior talent.

It's a slam dunk choice.

The Bama job is too big for someone Lanning's age and lack of head coaching experience.

So? That’s what I am getting at. You could put Mickey Mouse at Oregon and win. Oregon has been decent in their conference the past 20 years. You can plug in about anyone at that school and conference and they would have a decent record.

Bama should feel lucky if the guys goes there. Nobody wants to follow Saban.

Why should Alabama feel lucky for hiring this guy?

Because that is a best case scenario. Nobody wants to follow Saban.

Yeah I can't imagine Bama would hire him. Very unproven.

Because winning more games than losing is kind of the goal. And the guy has won at Oregon. Ever been there? Eugene not exactly football town.

Oregon damn sure isn’t Alabama.
