Way to take a positive story about a college
football player actually doing a good thing and
spread doo doo all over it.

Trashy bastards.

So dad took a 5 year old on a new Jet Ski and didn't know how to drive it, followed too closely, and had no control over the watercraft.

Sounds legit.

If this story were about Zach Mettenberger and Alabama fans posted trash about his family and his near death as a child, we would all be banned forever.

True story.

Assholes.

A 5 year old was driving a wave runner? Holy sh*t. Who thought that was okay?

I wonder how many natty lites he had in his gut at the time?

Sorry, the worm turned for me on this Jet Ski story.

Accidents are not always "your fault" but I contend most of the accidents that are "not your fault" are still mostly avoidable. Or at least you don't put yourself in situations like that.

Beer, narrow waterway, other boats, new jetski, unpredictable five year old . . a toxic combination.

Agree. Sometimes the problem is making the situation even possible, not all the details that ultimately occurred.

You just don't do that.

I must have trashy parents too. I crashed a jetski into a pier when I was little. Came in too fast and freaked out so I hit the gas and veered full acceleration right into the dock. Fortunately, I hit at chest level where my life jacket was and bounced off. I was fine and was more freaked out about damaging the jetski.

Oh yeah, btw I don't have trashy parents.

jets skis and 70 mph bass boats are like kryptonite to southern rednecks. rednecks are attacked to them like moths to a flame. i remember this guy in mississippi started some big waverunner group saying they were unjustly harassed and not dangerous etc. he was almost killed when he run his jet ski into a 26 foot fishing boat. not called human torpedoes for no reason. almost every boat wreck and all fatalties i have ever come up or witnessed included at least two of the following three things.

rednecks
alcohol or drugs
50 mph plus bass boat or jet ski
