The student newspaper is a joke in the worst way. Some aspiring journalism major writes something sensational and controversial (and 9/10 times something they don't believe themselves) so that REAL newspapers like the Times-Pic or Advocate takes notice and tries to hire them on.

All in all, the only thing worth the paper in that publication is the crossword and Sudoku.

Point in case, a few years ago with the Michael Sam fiasco, a columnist tried to get the LSU football team to comment on the ordeal. This is what was printed in that edition.
