It really affected us in pass blocking and on the routes. I can recall a number of throws where the DBs were all over the WRs in the first half.

bottom line is FSU settled down and got in rhythm., especially Winston.

Definitely.

I'm enjoying the perspective on this. I know that many Auburn fans argued that Alabama was stealing their signals in the first half of the 2010 game in Brian Dennehy (there used to be a youtube video detailing the theory). Auburn fans then seemed to think it was a big deal and that Bama wasn't just "playing well." Now it seems like knowing the call wouldn't help Auburn get all of those sacks. Interesting.

ETA: Here is one of the youtube links LINK

I love how the Bama players don't respect the strong side action at all and sprint to the reverse action

Auburn had plenty of chances to put the game out of reach, and with a dangerous team like FSU, you cannot let them hang around. I think Auburn's special teams is what cost them the game.

Fwiw, I never believed that shite about the 2010 IB... offensive signals had nothin to do with blown coverages on defense and a horrible PF call on fairley.

Seems like a guy doing his job to me. I had no problem with him doing it. Jimbo was foolish not to switch things up.

We had two legit drives in the first half and looked like absolute shite for the rest. Not even debatable that our offense was a lot better in the second half.

First half offense : 153 yards
Second half offense: 227 yards

night and day 74 yards difference

Yes, they had all of our signals for the first half. That's why the first and second halves were like night and day.

It looked like Winston made quicker decisons in the second half to check down to short routes.

We played ok. FSU made the plays they needed to win. Congrats

its just an excuse.

fsu expected to walk onto the field and dominate but got punched in the mouth.

auburn didn't make the plays necessary to keep the game out of reach.

Similar to the OU vs. Bama game.

If Craig knew the signals and FSU was still using them, Craig would be an idiot not to hone in on them. Any coach worth his paycheck would offer up that information.

Ok, for the question regarding Dameyune Craig we'll start with a simple logic tree:

Is Dameyune Craig associated with auburn?

Yes - He's a cheating scumbag and probably a criminal.

No - continue to next question..

Well, I don't really have to go into the whole tree since the root kinda solves the problem.

Also, the logic tree did not get rolled with toilet paper.

Using known signals is not cheating. Changing them up season to season is part of the game. If they stay the same year to year, any team could break down video and decipher signals.

If this is true, that looks bad on Jimbo.

So when Winston dropped back and grew that ball 15 yards over the heads of everyone on the sideline, that was because Auburn was stealing plays? How about the fumble? How about the false starts?

I think this is CYA by Jimbo for being beaten out of the gate and needing Auburn special teams miscues to win the game.

Your offense was better in the second half because Jimbo stopped trying to push the ball down field. He got the ball out Jaboos hand fast and started running the ball. Auburn took it to Florida State all game though. They were the more physical team. Jimbo should known to change the signals. Who cares if Craig was stealing signals. Jaboo would be somewhere else being great if it wasn't for that snake.

FSU's offense scored 10 points in the first half. In the second half, they scored 10 points if you take away the interception their defense got them that gave them a short field for a TD.

If you take away the drives that start at the 25 and 27.

Auburn only scores 7 in the first half.

Can play that game all day.

Also for people to say that 50 yard play was a blown coverage... no. He caught the ball and slipped between two tacklers. The one on the inside was trying to decide if he should cover Shaw and got there.

Also....Now FSU leaving not one, but two wide open Auburn Wrs in the middle of the field is a blown coverage.
