I may be the minority here but if youre gonna follow a legend you shouldnt come in and change your own style to fit what the previous coach did.

I mean he is stll gonna lose but at least he will lose on hs own terms

Cause that's what he did at Washington. 25-3 in 2 seasons and a NC game.

It's almost like Saban and DeBoer are two totally different people.

No way. He’s the next Saban is what I’ve been hearing from gumps.

He doesn't have to be the next Coach Saban. He just has to be better than 4 loss Kelly and those of his ilk. Very doable.

maybe he's building up his way and not tearing down another way.

Why fix it if it isn't broken though?

Yes, clearly the best strategy would be for Alabama to bring in an experienced, accomplished head coach and then tell him to “just copy whatever Saban was doing.”

Laughing at YOU..

We do not expect him to be the next Coach Saban or Bryant. He could be the next in a long line of Alabama football coaches that win multiple NC while at Alabama.

It’s more likely he’s your next Shula, but keep believing. It will make things much more interesting.

First off its BECAUSE. cause has a totally different meaning.

Second in your scenario the PAC12 = SEC. Those are two totally different animals

Don't sweat it. Swinetime has a totally different meaning at my house.

You are obviously struggling with the most common aspects of college football, why don't you ask the Shorthorns how different Washington was from ALABAMA?

Alabama was on sanctions when Coach Shula came to Alabama.

Alabama had Coach Bobby Bowden ready to come but President Thomas was an idiot and told him to interview in the late 80's

Coach Butch Davis was coming to Alabama in the early 00's but the sanctions were too severe.

Alabama will always attract the best coaches, and if this coach does not win a NC within 2-3 years, Bama will find another that will

There is something special about Alabama.

I think it would be a bad idea to ask DeBoer is continue a Saban system. He needs to set things up for his success.
