Dabo needs to come to the SEC, and not for the reason you may think

And more specifically not Bama. Don't get me wrong, Dabo at Bama after Saban would be amazing. But for the sake of entertainment, balance and the overall health of the SEC, Dabo at another school besides Bama would be the best thing for the CONFERENCE.

I'm sure everyone remembers from about 2006-2010. In that time period Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Mark Richt, Les Miles and Houston Nutt were all in the same conference. All of those different personalities are what made the league great. Now we just have a bunch of Saban assistants and some high school coaches running around trying to find success. These are novices in a big boy conference trying to dethrone a legend who's showing no signs of stopping. There's just no flavor in the SEC. The most newsworthy stuff always comes out of Saban's coaching rehab center in Tuscaloosa.

We need a Dabo. We need someone that isn't afraid to call Nick Saban a short arse bitch then beat his team by 30 and party in the end zone once the 4th quarter is over. And that school needs to be LSU that he goes to.

I completely agree. He would look fantastic in purp and mustard. we should all rally behind the cause of getting Dabo to Baton Rouge

SEC needs a coach like dabo to come in and instill an exciting brand of offense that involves passes down the field.

i don't think miles, richt, meyer, saban, etc have real big personalities. they are all pretty boring.

The SEC as a whole is better when it is LSU and Alabama battling it out for the top spot. I am not completely sold on O and would give my left nut for Dabo but, I have hope that our performance this year with O running things and with a top tier coordinator in Canada, point to a bright future ahead. O has certainly said all of the rights things up to this point. Let's hope he practices what he preaches and let's his coordinators do their jobs.

There's no way Dabo will leave Clemson for a SEC school not named Bama. Hell, I'm in the camp that believes it's extremely unlikely he'll leave Clemson for Bama. Clemson is the school that gave him a HC opportunity when he was on nobody's radar as a head coach. Clemson is the school that stuck by him after he went 6-7 in his third year when they could have easily justified firing him. He has built Clemson into an elite program and the school's alumni and fan base absolutely love the guy. I believe he's a lot more loyal and tied to Clemson than people think.

Clemson needs to realize that a tight end is a an eligible receiver.(OJ can kill you, you know). Also, coaching your kick return team to not line up so far inside, in case of an onside kick.

Has anybody considered that Dabo's success is directly related to Watson. Will he even win his conference once he is gone? What was his record before Watson? Are we giving the wrong man credit for Clemson recent success?

???

One of these is not like the others. You could have said Steve Spurrier for the skill and the personality.

Unfortunately I think you're right David not going to leave Clemson but Bama has to make him say no. Screw the OP. Lol. I want Dabo at Bama and the rest of the sec be damned.

That Tajh Boyd kid was pretty good. Still pissed about the 2012 Chicken Bowl, myself.

I'm an Alabama fan and I'd rather see Dabo at LSU than Alabama. He's not the right guy for Alabama.

Since Mal Moore loaded up a plane full of money and showed up uninvited at Saban's house and refused to leave without him, how many other schools in this conference have done anything similar with a coaching hire? Every one of them have changed coaches since Saban was hired. The other 13 schools in this conference are going to keep hiring head coaches in the same ham handed way they always have. That's not going to change. USCe follows up a HOF coach with Will fricking Muschamp. Does anyone actually think Auburn or LSU identified the very best coach, went after him, and made it almost impossible for him to say no? Tennessee and Butch? The idea of anyone else in the SEC putting on a full court press for Dabo is comical.

Losing record vs. Florida State, never beat South Carolina, and washed out of the NFL.

Boyd was ok, but Watson is special.

Dabo's success is tied to his OC and especially his Tourette's laden DC. Dabo without those two is fools gold.
