The top of each division is fairly similar. The have MSU falling from #1 all the way to 4th in the West and likely 7th overall. But then again there isn't a lot of margin for error with the top teams.
As for A&M, I don't expect to compete for an SEC title this year. I think borderline regional host at best with so many freshmen going to play significant time. However, our staff and pen should still be strong and we'll be less of a mashU and more speed kills.

24 days away!
I recently picked up tickets for A&M's trip to Austin to play tu and our matchup with TCU & Baylor in Houston (MMP). Plus I'll make as many home games as I can.

Expecting to make the trip to Houston to watch that early season OOC tourney against some Texas schools. Also plan on going to Hoover for the 3rd straight year. Any SEC baseball fan that has never made that trip is missing out. Its a great time.

Yeah, Galloway left the cupboard bare for this season, didn't recruit anything but JUCO guys a couple years ago so we've know since then this year would be a bust (if im remembering correctly...)

what happened to arkansas? that much youth?

Looks like I've got some evening reading. Thanks.
LSU returns the most experience across hitter and pitcher that they've had in some time. Should be extremely strong up the middle as well. The two freshmen projected to start at the corner infield spots were both collegiate summer league all stars in their respective leagues, so even our freshmen hitters have some level of college experience. Our bullpen should be pretty strong, but we'll need a freshman to step up as the sunday guy.
Overall, I'm excited for this season, probably moreso than I have been in a while.
ETA: Ole Miss is probably my darkhorse contender this year. They had a great recruiting class and bring back some good arms.

Eh, last year doesn't inspire a ton of confidence but I suspect a good bounce back.

Very cool. Wish we could make it out to San Diego for Vandy's opening weekend.

By this measure, Scott Stricklin will be gone at year's end for UGA. Should leave a somewhat decently full cupboard for the next guy, though

No, the SEC is just that good. Auburn lacks hitting big time this year.

Death, taxes, and Kentucky in Louisville's regional again.

We have that problem in softball with FSU. Like 3 or 4 straight years of traveling down there for a regional

Yep. But, if they can get in a regionals this year...I would be jumping for joy.

The last time we were supposed to host, we got sent as "host" to Gary, Indiana because there wasn't "enough Northern hosts".
So frick off, troll.
