I honestly think it's because he plays so hard. With time, he will be amazing. My favorite recruit in a long time.

I'm sure it is. I'm not faulting him at all. Repetition will make the use of his arms for leverage instinctual. He's a smart kid, so he'll catch on. As for favorite recruit, same here. Next up will probably be Tre Williams.

Yeah I loved his interviews after high school games where he would get like 4 sacks but say he played like shite.

Seriously. I was half being silly, but if you watch the gif you can see Cyrus has the back of Carl's jersey, up high on the jersey. Watch how Carl is going up-field but gets pulled down on the back of his left shoulder. The horsecollar comment was for another faction of the SEC fanbase.

And the only reason Lawson went down was because Cyrus grabbed him by the helmet or behind the helmet to pull him down with him. Lawson blew him up on that play.

Lawson and Jones are relatively even. Jones has more tackles, but played more games, and .5 more TFL. Lawson has 2FF while Jones has a few more QB hurries and 3 pass breakups.

Lawson was also the one who stopped TJ on the huge 4th and 1 run. Lawson is my favorite player on the team. Dude is a BEAST and is a great kid off the field.

Lawson just doesn't stop fighting. He is the epitome of the difference between the 2012 Tigers and 2013 Tigers. So much brute power. I almost pity the men tasked with blocking him and the men who will have to take the hits when those blockers fail in the next few years.

So he got lucky one play. While your taking the time to post plays, post the ones where TJ ran through that BRUT power for 150 yards. Check out your stats and rankings for D before you call them a BRUT power,lmao
