the only park in America where that's not a HR though.

No other parks have 25 mph winds blowing in? Twenty five to thirty isn't even normal for Omaha.

any time a ball falls short at the track other than Hoover and TDA it would be gone.

BTW you should have lost your first game in Omaha last year. Oregon State was robbed by this stupid big park.

btw: wind blowing in is normal at TDA, 25MPH no but blowing in yes. Ball doesn't carry in TDA and when the wind is blowing in you almost have no chance.

Note: at the blatt the wind would be blowing right towards left. The best wind you get in this park is either no wind or a light wind, the win so rarely doesn't blow in from center that you rather hope for no wind at all.

You still pissed because our boys adjusted their game and yours kept swinging for the fences? You do realize that the field dimensions are probably within 5 ft all the way around to the Box or Dudy Noble? It's the wind. Always blowing in from the outfield.

ETA - Trey Porter was "robbed" of a 3 run shot in the same game due to the massive dimensions of the field. shite works out in the end.

Son of a bitch - hit gap doubles/triples in this massive park and you can win a ball game.

MSU did a good job adjusting to the park I give you that, you guys were robbed as well. But a guy can't square up a hanging breaking ball like that and have it as pop fly to the warning track. I bet you could find many MSU fans who would say Confroto should have beat us but we will take us. No-one other than UCLA likes how this park plays. UCLA had a team who played well for this park and had bounces go this way. UCLA wouldn't have won it with next year's balls or 2009 bats.

I'm over last year, but I want to continue to show how crappy this park is. Its a great experience for the fan but it plays WAY to large.

UCLA didn't have gap power last year and they won.

that was a great hit and it should fall. But confroto's, porter's, the ball crushed earlier in this game, should be out of the park. Since TDA has opened it has played way to big. I don't think there are any home runs in the power alleys or straight away. You can only hit it out in the bullpens at this park. That is horrible, and if you don't think so it is only because it helped your team win.

you brought up the 5 feet thing. Ball carries differently in different parks. I don't know about how this works, but TDA is in a valley The blatt was on a hill. I'm pretty sure the ball carries better at the top of the hill compared to a bottom of a valley. It was turned from being pretty much a cross wind to being right into the wind.

Don't just look at the dimensions that doesn't tell the whole story, look at the stats, look how many home runs were hit last year. Everyone is complaining about it. Well everyone except you and every UCLA fan.

one last edit: I'm sorry about all of my ranting but I hate this park, it is bad for college baseball, it has ruined the atmosphere of what the CWS always has been, it plays way to big, and the CWS is just not the same anymore. The majority of people who live in Omaha agree that TDA is much worse than the blatt.

No - I love good coaching and good pitching. Go back to the old Ok State teams and the Gary Ward coached teams. Great hitting, but they would lose 14-13 because they had no pitching. Pitching wins this thing. UCLA won because of pitching and did just enough hitting.

Pitching is the most important but again, no park should ever be so big that you can hang a curve ball and it be a fly out to the warning track. I give UCLA credit they had great pitching, but their hitting sucked. They pitched well and got enough bounces to win it all.

UCLA wasn't the best team in Omaha last year but they won the tourney which means they were the national champs. The national champs are the team who played the best when it counts not the best team overall.

that year. LSU and UNC where the best two teams talent wise but they didn't play well.

A great team is a team who can hit and pitch. Vandy LSU and UNC did all of that. LSU had Nola best arm in the country didn't lose one game till Omaha. Beede was lights out all year. UNC had good arms I don't remember their names. What separated LSU and UNC from UCLA was their hitting. I would say if LSU/UNC played UCLA they would beat UCLA 6 or 7 times out of 10 but it just happened to fall that the worse team beat the better team both times. That is the nature of baseball. UCLA wasn't the best team in Omaha last year, but they played the best and got the bounces.

I'm done talking about this I just want to watch baseball.

You and I don't have any teams in this tourney I'm going to let Vandy fans and Ole Miss fans dominate discussions.

Sorry I took this over so much I step away now.
