My post was sarcastic but I've got all seasons of Swamp People on DVR if you want to come over and get caught up on your heritage.

Yeah, I get that. My point is partitioning your allegiance/fandom/support to current winds of success is kinda bush league.

I understand your anger but ESPN can pimp Big East (Uconn) and ACC on ESPN because they own it. For the most part baseball means the most in the SEC and ESPN is just now getting the right to monitize it.

With the SecNetwork should be a lot more games televised...hopefully this will help with general popularity.

But it's a big 3 college sport

Super Regionals averaged less than 300,000 viewers a game. There's just not a large audience for college baseball. SEC fans just don't understand that because it's big in your conference, but "nobody" cares about college baseball. I'm not trying to belittle the sport or your enjoyment of it. I enjoy college hockey a lot (sort of the north's version of college baseball - a third college sport that's only big in certain regional areas and very few care that much about really) and am also even a fan of college lacrosse, so I'm not calling you guys out for your passion for college baseball. I'm just saying this to tell you why it's not plastered all over ESPN.com. Especially when you have the NBA Finals, the Stanley Cup Final and the US Open all on the same weekend.

Things were so peaceful. We had our own stickied thread so us college baseball fans can enjoy it all in one space while trying not to bother all of the SEC fans on this board who spend most of their days on here ranking meaningless stuff and predicting things that probably things that won't happen come football season, but no. They go out of their way to tell us the sport is irrelevant compared to other sports.

If you google "why can't we have nice things", this thread would be the first of the search results.

The great thing about LSU is that there is rarely an off year. If not football, then baseball, or basketball, many times a combination.

What separate LSU from the pack is that if you read the rant, you'd think the LSU athletic department is God's gift to sports. Next year, we're supposed to go to a BCS game, a final 4, and back to Omaha. We're not like these other teams who just say "ok, we suck. The sport is meaningless anyway". We come on the SECr and talk shite until we lose and then run back to the rant calling for mass firings. It's just what we do.

That's great. How is Tennessee's JV football team looking this coming season?

Perhaps your interweb is broken. It's very clearly on the home page.

Can you tell which thing is not like the others

Well, in the 80's the club did well in football and basketball...and Skip came on board. In the 90's Baseball was king. Since 2000 at least one of the three does well, pretty much every year.

Nba finals, us open & the stanley cup final are all way ahead of the cws. Plus the number of viewers for hockey will go way up if the rest of the series is anything like the first two games.

Brady had 2 good years (teams approaching 30 wins) out of how many at LSU? No, basketball started taking on water after Dale left. It just took another decade to sink to where it is now. The women at least are on an uptick but women are well below the men in ratings and revenue.

Nikki will be great. The jury is still out on Coach Jones. I'm not optimistic, but we'll see.
