Tickets were still available at the box office.
If at the box office, you mean getting to the park at noon, standing in line and hoping to be one of 5,000 allowed in via the GA seats in the outfield then you are correct. Reserved seating is a scramble because the are gobbled up by locals and corporate sponsors. You can find a ticket but it's a tough find especially for the championship series.

It is not the new stadiums fault. It was designed with the 2010 bats in mind. There would have been very entertaining games had they kept those bats. The wind direction and size of the field would have balanced those bats well. After the knee jerk change to the bats, the people involved with the design even said they wouldn't have designed the field that way had they known the NCAA was going to do that.

That score from the USC/Ariz.State game was as much a result of both staffs being completely used up. Both teams were pitching kids who had pitched very little all year long. Late in the game, one was even an infielder as I recall. Of course, the bats made a difference too. But then, LSU will hold the season record for HR's....180'ish....forever now.

College BB needs to go to regulation game-balls and wood bats. Like in the Majors.

It is boring but this is what wins championships.

What won in any sport is still what wins today. DEFENSE. Offenses come and go, single wing, wing T, I formation, Power I formation, wishbone, flexbone, veer, fun n gun but defenses have always been 5-2, 4-2, 3-4 and a great D beats a great O.
Remember those great niner offenses of the 80's? They could score at will until they played the Giants and would get 7 or 10 points.
These two teams are playing for the NC because their pitching and defense is outstanding and that is what wins. Boring yes, effective.. absolutely.

they did change the balls this year but wooden bats are too expensive for 95% of college baseball programs. wooden bats actually have more pop than the metal bats college players use.

The clock needs to be used in the CWS.

It has been grueling at times.
