No offense, but y'all WERE pretty weak for a while before softball and gymnastics stepped up big time the last couple of years.

State's secondary athletic programs have really improved the last 10 years. Impressive.

We're also 13-0 and ranked #7 in Rugby

(How LSU is only #7 with some of these scores though is beyond me: 91-5, 75-7, 61-0, 60-0, 56-10, etc.
We also beat this one other school 55-12 :)

You must play Rugby....?

No way that info is accessible or known about by random members of the public...

Ole Miss makes sense - smallest school money wise, etc.

Tennessee makes no sense. They used to be an all-around great athletic department. They aren't even average anymore, they are shite. And it's way more than football.

Don't make excuses for OM. Look at State succeeding. We are the dominant athletics program in Mississippi. DOMINANT

Rugby is not a varsity sport. Not listed on LSU's official athletic website. So you can file it next to ultimate frisbee.

Hmm. I knew LSU had a solid rugby club. I didn't know A&M did too. Yall won 32-30... What was the story there? A fluke game or just two good squads?

No LSU built up a lead and A&M came roaring back with several goals and came up just short at the end...

I know. Just thought I'd mention it..
Supposedly we're giving Vandy a run with our Chess team.

Last December, members of both teams invaded a small private Inn near the Quarter and practiced in the foyer, but the Innkeeper ran them out because they were making too much noise.

Guess he didn't like Chess nuts boasting in an open foyer.........

I agree. How far down the list of "sports" must we go for lil Auburn.
Next thing you know, dude's gonna be bragging about Auburn's eSports and who is great at World of Warcraft.

We used to have some sick esport folks. 2 people did really well at a SSF4 qualifier when I was an undergrad. But as far as collegiate esports at public universities the SEC lags behind NE and west coast schools since they grew up more with "arcade culture".

Our family heard about a great new restaurant that served a wonderful Christmas brunch. They supposedly were known for their Eggs Benedict because they made their own homemade Hollandaise Sauce.
So we decided to try it out and ordered the Eggs Benedict. But our food came out on chrome hubcaps instead of plates.

Curious, we asked the waiter about this, and he said it was the owner's motto:

'There's no plate like chrome for the Hollandaise'.......

This is more conference related than on the national level.

I think anyone who pays even the smallest bit of attention to SEC sports knows that Florida is the preeminent all around athletic program in the conference.
