UGA is not a bad pick but Arkansas is a horrible bet. They are only 10/1 and won 2 out of their last 16 conference games with current HC. UF at 33 to 1 is a good gamble. The east is not that great and if they make it to the SEC championship game they have enough talent to win. Auburn seems like a horrible bet too.

This would be more reasonable IMO.

I think LSU is still a year away from having a legitimate shot at winning the SEC Championship.

I would still give LSU better odds than two teams that have not won the SEC in the modern era.

Ole Miss is....well.....Ole Miss. Enough said.

Arky has never won the SEC since joining the conference over 20 years ago. They have finished last in the SEC West two years running with an astonishingly Vandy-like 2-14 conference record. They will be a tough out and will probably win 9 games which is awesome for them.

Conference Champions?

That was mildly effective as a retort the first 10000+ times it was used this off-season.

Can you tell me why any reasonably intelligent person would believe rKansas will ever win a SEC Championship?

I'm serious.

Sure. Arkansas has a lot going for it this season, and with the right bounces, will find itself in contention to win the SEC. Below I will list the reasons why Arkansas can win the SEC:

17-0

Was that when true freshman, Anthony Jennings, drove LSU 99 yards to beat Arknasas? The same AJ who averaged like 120 yards per game as a first year starter.

We won't have to wait long to figure out what Kentucky is. UK's poker chips are going to the center of the table quick. Games 2, 3 and 4 are against the Gamecocks, Gators and Mizzou. We'll know if we're 3rd or 6th in East pecking order by week 4.

You can bet an equal amount on each and come out ahead if either of the 3 win the SEC.

The second and third games will also tell us if this team has game. I would be shocked if they win both but equally surprised if they lose both. To win both I think they'll have to play with a lot of moxie. Stoops is saying he has them ready. I sure hope so.
