Given the situation he stepped into, Pittman having a winning record at Arkansas is damn near a miracle. We were the worst team in a P5 conference (that is a term that will be dead soon) and in the running for worst team at the FBS level when he took over.

Divided by 5 = 7.8-4.2
Legit undisputed statistically verified 8-4.

Only 27 losses in 16 years is an outstanding feat.

Oh look, Bama braggadocios.
That never happens
Yeah dude, let me personally assuage your insecurities- we know.

And yet only one undefeated full season in 26 years.
I guess that's the epitome of always losing one he shouldn't.

Technically Arnett is 1-0

Technically? He is 1-0. Best winning percentage in the SEC!

27 losses in 17 seasons. That’s amazing. Does he still have more natties than home losses?

Two.
You can bitch and moan all you want to about the "Covid year," but Alabama had 10 games on their schedule. They played all 10 games, won all 10 games, then defeated Florida, Notre Dame, and Ohio State in the post-season to finish the year undefeated.
And two undefeated seasons is about par for the course for many great collegiate head coaches. Bear Bryant only had three undefeated seasons in his 37 years as a head coach; Bobby Bowden, even with all of those dominant FSU teams, only had one undefeated season in his 40+ years as a head coach. Steve Spurrier, arguably the greatest Xs and Os coach in the history of the Southeastern Conference, never had a single undefeated season in his years as a head coach.
Going undefeated in a season is hard to do. It's harder to do it more than once.

I'm not bitching, it just wasn't a full season is all.

It was as many games as in 2009, with more SEC games and postseason games than 2009. Or are you too young to have been a fan in 2009?
I always laugh my arse off at fricktards who yap about "not a full season" as if that has any significance in this discussion.

Just imagine if Stoops hadn't had to spend his first 3 seasons completely gutting the damage Joker had done and was able to hit the ground running. He's done an incredible job here.

Still had more wins and fewer losses than the 2007 national champion

Yeah, Brooks had us respectable and on track until Joker wrecked the train. Too bad Stoops didn’t inherit a decent team with Hartline and Cobb and build on that.
But if ifs and buts were candy and nuts we’d all have a Merry Christmas.
