There aren't many people I know who want to ring in the new year at a football stadium in Atlanta.
This actually is a pretty awesome thing. One of the good points of this game. Big party after the game.
I would rather be at this bowl than a NYD afternoon bowl in central florida.

Not sure why Chickfila takes the Aggies over us

Nah, you won't, just like we didn't. But I can tell you that UCF is better than Clemson. They're a legit football team, and if their name were Miami, they'd be top-10 for sure.

Bowl tie-ins are to blame
If you want better matchups, then apart from taking the conference champs(i.e. Rose Bowl taking Big 10/Pac 12 winner, Sugar Bowl taking SEC winner, etc.) every bowl should be an at-large bid and the better bowls should be able to pick whoever the hell they want.

Ratings and money drive decisions, and it being JM's last game in college would get a lot of eyeballs on the screen. Plus the out of towners buying hotels.

What a prize for winning the SEC and beating Bama.
Laugh while you can (about 80 hrs). I don't think that's how it's going to shake out.

While I agree UCF is a good team, they play down to their opponent too often.

frick that. What does it say about the Big10 that I am more enthused about a game with Duke in Atlanta than any shitty FLorida contest with some snow school?

Bama will go into the Orange Bowl not giving a shite and lose to Clemson.
Then Clemson fans step back from the ledge and start calling themselves SEC slayers again
I know Dabo is a former elephant but if that matchup happens you better wax that Tiger arse Bama.

Only saving grace for UGA could be that the bowl committee doesn't think A&M will buy out Duke's allotmet of tix (Duke will not sell all of their tickets) whereas a UGA crowd is a guaranteed sell out.

Not to mention that a Nebraska-UGA matchup in Jacksonville is the worst possible bowl scenario for the Gator. I have absolutely no interest in watching us play the same team we did last year in a city and stadium we have already played in this year.

I think I'd actually enjoy seeing y'all stomp Michigan though.

really not a very appealing slate

Ole Miss is going to the Music City Bowl. Whoever wrote that doesn't know what they're talking about. Vandy doesn't want the Music City Bowl and the Music City Bowl doesn't want them.

Michigan would be a fun matchup. But I really just find nothing appealing about playing in Jacksonville again this year. ATL is at least familiar and close to home. Just asking too much of UGA fans to drive an average of 5-6 hours for a mediocre New Years Day matchup in a city that we already spent a week partying in not two months ago.

There's no way UGA faces Nebraska a 2nd straight year.

These bowl matchups, if they shake out like is being projected, may go down as the ABSOLUTE WORST EVER for the ENTIRE S E C
