The Klan was just as hateful to the Jewish population as the were to the black population in most small southern towns. Brookhaven was a thriving city at the turn of the century with the railroad but the Klan ran about all of them out of Brookhaven

Brookhaven has a popuation of what ?!? 13000 people... And that's today... Probably used to be well under 10000 .... But they had the largest population of Jewish people in the South until Klansmen ran them out ?!?!
