Greg McElroy. The amount of offensive skill that went to waste due to McElroy's ineptness was staggering. With a competent QB, the 2009 Bama team would have gone down as one of the greatest teams of all-time because they were outstanding in every area except for QB. They had Julio Jones at WR. They had two terrific backs with Ingram and Richardon. They had a great offensive line. Special teams was very good with Tiffin as the kicker and Javy Arenas returning kicks. The defense was outstanding especially against the run and was great at creating turnovers. They just didn't have a QB. McElwain's red zone playcalling didn't help matters either.

I don't hate any LSU quarterbacks, but I would definitely choose JJ as my favorite.

It's really too bad Brodie was killed in that South American hunting accident. I was hoping LaRon was going to have a chance to finish him off.
