I agree with ya, I think they were on the field more, but LSU didn't pass a lot. Running plays definitely take more time off the clock, and my guess is that LSU ran the ball more times than Alabama, and Alabama passed a bit more.

I agree, that is absolutely stunning. There were other, more general surprises such as LSU's surprisingly few sacks and the time the Alabama OL provided him (terrific job BTW) and, the effectiveness of the Bama defensive backs on the LSU receivers. In the big picture, I guess it's really true that defense wins championships and for us old time SEC fans, this was a "goodun".

We are actually fourth nationally in opponent punt returns.

USF has given up -2 yards all season.

I don't know how that is possible.
