Sabben could not win the SEC much less the natty at usc.
It is laughable to think otherwise.
Chizik won one with a senior laden team built by Coach Tubs with the genius of Gus and talent of the blessed one mixed in.

He would have had a good shot. It might have been difficult to recruit at SC, but he would have at least gotten to the SEC championship most of these years while the East has been down.

If anybody could, it would likely be Saban. That said, winning a natty at USCe in football is a tougher task than winning a natty at Bama in bball. Not sure anyone could do it.
