At least one favorite will lose to Arkansas. Just hope it's not us in Fayetteville.
I'm sticking to my prediction of them beating LSU.

but Brandon Allen is probably one of the worst quarterbacks in the SEC

This little myth needs to die. 1, he doesn't have to throw nor is he asked to throw that much. 2, any opinions based on how he played last year are short-sighted given how he played through injury in his throwing shoulder. 3, His completion percentage is the only thing that's hurting the "outsiders" view of his play this year. But our WR's have dropped quite a few passes.

He is a middle-of-the-pack quarterback at this point. We'll learn more about how good he is when Arkansas starts throwing more.

no, all we learned was that Tuberville was lazier recruiting at Tech than we ever knew.

I agree. I have seen no indication of Brandon Allen having the same problems he had last year. He's playing a lot smarter with much more poise. He has really surprised me with his improvement.

I've been saying since I saw them play AU that they are DEF better than they're gettin credit for. The AU smacking Arky around is going to look like a much better win later in the year.

They ran up the score on a HS team, which is what you should do and held thier own against the champs for 30 minutes.

Not sure the 24 point loss to Auburn should be held up as the reason to re-evaluate.

We knew they could run the ball. We also knew the D wasn't great, the secondary was not good, the QB position was below average.

I would say no, they are pretty much who we thought they would be. I had them blowing out Tech. Going to be a tough year for them since they have a hard time defending any team with a balanced attack and they are prone to throw some quacking ducks.

All of Tuberville's classes at Tech have been better than Kingsbury's.

TTech isn't very good. Kingsberry will get time because he is an alumnus but he is not doing a great job as HC. Yeah, he is hot an Bert is fat, but Bert is a better coach

Definitely NOT hard to do. Tech had one 4 star recruit last year. A 5'8" receiver.

How many defenses will look great against Auburn? Because the defense has looked better than average in the other 2 games.

Our leading tackler last season, by a fairly wide margin, was a safety. Through 3 games, our top 2 tacklers are LB's. I think that tells you how much better the defense is playing. Not that I'm saying we are great, but we've played higher than our slot at the beginning of the season, IMO.

Before the season this would have been my opinion, too. Hell, even after the Auburn game. But the past 2 games have seen much more playing time for 2-3 freshmen and sophomore DB's who have done some really good things. I don't think you can play much better as a secondary than we did on Saturday against a passing offense. Of course, we got back Tevin Mitchel for this game who wasn't available for Auburn and he played outstanding.

The ONLY throw that Brandon Allen has had all season that wasn't a spiral was the INT when he got hit mid-throw at Auburn.

Stop making shite up to fit your narrative.

of his way over inflated contract. He did a great job of renegotiating. He is in top 20 of FBS coaches and has done nothing but be an offensive coordinator for a year with JFF as the QB.

Tech literally can't afford to do anything about it now. They are S T U C K with him no matter what for at least 5 to 6 years. They can't afford to buy him out later if they need to.

Probably the greatest robbery since Fran got a contract at A&M.

Aww, aren't you cute.

Hey guess what? That has nothing to do with Tuberville's poor defensive recruiting while at Tech. Never mind the damage he did by leaving in the middle of a recruiting dinner to go work for Cincy w/o telling anyone he wasnt coming back.

Last year in OOC we struggled mightily against Samford and Southern Miss. This year we named our score against Nicholls St and beat Texas Tech by 21. It's fairly obvious to anyone that actually pays attention that we've improved considerably.

Is that emough to get a win in the SEC? I'm not sure yet. I'm sticking with my 5-7 prediction until we actually get that first one. However, it's not that hard to see that this team is improving steadily and I think next year we'll be looking at an 8-4 type record.

Sorry didn't mean to offend you. I was at the game last year in Arkansas when he threw 2 against A&M. Yes, the 110th ranked defense in college football.

His stats last year were actually pretty good. He only had 10 interceptions with 13 TDs. Sweet ratio. Awesome.

Listen, I don't know how else to tell you but Arkansas beat a terrible Tech team. They suck. Their D sucks. Their QB sucks. The entire team including their coach sucks.
