Texas still owes Arkansas a game that they backed out of years ago.

Your credibility is absolutely decimated with that incorrect statement.

Arkansas cancels '09 game with Texas

I'd like for you to explain how Texas ruined the Southwest Conference. Crooked refs and taking a bigger piece of the pie (the last of which was not the case, Arkansas left for the SEC because they were tired of subsidizing Baylor, Rice, TCU, etc.)? How juvenile.

If we quarter the U.S. up, technically, Texas would be in the SE quadrant. Just sayin'.

Outstanding Baseball, Softball, Gymnastics besides football. They have won softball and gymnastics in the last couple of years. I do not like the bastards but they have a solid athletic program

There are 7 SEC schools that are strongly interested in blackballing certain universities from ever getting into the conference:

Kentucky - Louisville
Florida - Florida State
Georgia - Georgia Tech
South Carolina - Clemson
Texas A&M, Arkansas and Missouri - Texas

A 7-school bloc is half the conference. Louisville, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Clemson and Texas will never be part of the SEC.

I see you doubled down with your idiocy and limited it to the return game in Fayetteville.

... Which the article states is the game Arkansas canceled.

You realize your conference is nicknamed the dumpster fire and Arkansas & A&M are receiving record high amounts from hands down the best conference in college athletics.

Difference is
Louisville, Clemson, FSU and Ga Tech are not the main universities in their states

So by adding them it doesn't help anyone out truthfully unlike Texas with A&M

A&M is not the biggest university in Texas so by keeping out Texas the SEC for one is not allowing another conference to claim Texas. Like I mentioned before the other 4 states are considered SEC States no matter where the other universities go Not Texas. Texas is still considered a Big 12 state even with A&M in the SEC. Second and most importantly this pretty much monopolizes college football for the SEC

Texas and OU tip the balance of college football to whatever conference they go to

Funny thing is A&M allowed them to be put in this position. Their move to the SEC actually has made UT even more powerful in college athletics

I'm not sure the UT administration would allow any move to the SEC.

Sure, West Virginia is a glorified high school with chump fans, but why trade one West Virginia for 10 or 12 more? That would be too much. We've already gotten rid of the asshattery known as Arkansas Razorback fans.

Every couple of years some pundits says this. The truth is they dont know SEC politics to know this won't happen. There is a coalition of schools that will never vote for a school from an existing SEC state. At the very least that is a&m, florida, SC, uga, kentucky.

The only schools i think are even semi reasonable would be OU (though as someone stated it would be very hard given their states legislature), UVA or V tech, west virginia, UNC or duke.

These supposed roadblocks have already been proven to be untrue

T Boone Pickens can cry all he wants but if OU wants to leave OU will leave because all the money that T Boone Pickens has is maybe 1/10 of what OU boosters have at their disposal

I am sure USCjr, UK, UF and UGA would turn their backs on A&M for more money

I know for a fact that the current administration at TAF and the LSU athletic department will also not vote in favor of Texas.

Not saying futures wouldnt, but in the next 5 years you aren't getting a texas vote from LSU.

No offense to these two Texas folks but this is a real off season topic best saved for the doldrums between the CWS and fall football. SEC is still quite busy with late winter sports and spring sports just hitting stride.

As for Corso being in the know about anything about realignment, I highly doubt your source.

Do you understand that even with the profit turned by the athletic department how underfunded LSU is

LSU needs any revenue they can get.
If it is through expanding the SEC so be it

There wouldnt be much more money with texas coming, sec network covers all of texas, SEC wont allow texas to keep their own network, and the main market (Dallas) for OU and Texas is already covered by a&m. So what you get by bringing those two schools is bowl money and tickets sales, not much to be gained going from 14 to 16 teams definitely not a material amount more than if you were to get a slightly less popular school like v tech.

That's about like saying the Big East had Dallas covered when it had SMU instead of Texas or Oklahoma. I guess that was technically true.

Plus, you're limiting your money-earning potential to cable channels that rely on carriage fees.

CBS doesn't charge carriage fees. Nor does ABC or NBC. Get the drift?

Patsy? Lol

Have you watched your athletic department lately?

Football: Trainwreck
Basketball: Trainwreck
Baseball: Trainwreck

Congrats on the network though...it's really paying off in on field/court results.
