According to the Lane Kiffin press conference the other day he is making minor changes to the O. Calling it a new scheme isn't accurate. I have no idea what he is changing, but at the end of the day he will do what Saban tells him to do.

btw I just read this about LF7 on the TR

even I didn't know this

quote:

He ran for over 1700 yards and 22 TDs at 10 ypc average as a freaking 9th grader

this dude was playing John Curtis and Karr type teams. Both are literally nationally ranked year in and year out and travel the country playing games. He did that to these guys as a Freshman.

I'm not sure that anyone is genuinely doubting that Fournette won't be a monster. The OP is a fricking moron troll that needs to be banned.

I think it's Telafawxs "I hate everyone equally" alter.

It's not really a new scheme. He's adding a more traditional FB and changing the concepts of our pass plays.

Amari Cooper said a while back in an interview that one change is that now if a DB is playing really far off of him and he was running a down field route, instead of running that route no questions asked, a check is made to change to a quick hitch or something. If they're playing really tight on him, he's gonna get a deep route.

Basic stuff that Nuss didn't do. He just sent em out there, had em run certain routes (seems like some guys only ever ran some routes) and that was that. Kiffin plans to create mismatches and take advantage of weakness. Maybe it'll work, maybe he'll suck at it. You can never tell with Kiffin.

Is Coker really all that, or is the hype coming from him being the next starting QB at Alabama?

Everyone on this board seems to forget that LSU does RB by committee.

His impact shouldn't be based on stats, but how many game changing impact plays he makes.

Coker and Fournette have yet to play a single snap in the SEC. Wallace and Cooper have shown they can play in this conference. All 4 could show up big time or they could all have quiet seasons.

Unless he gets injured, Terrance Magee will have more carries than Fournette this season.
