Mang, if you go out and buy 12-15 head of the nations top talent, especially at key positions, you can win big games. I think they can beat FSU next week.

Sorry, but it's true. There's no one as individual talented as Treadwell, but as a whole the group will be better.

Yes, but one Treadwell = three of your current starters. Granted, you have some decent guys, but nothing like last year.

I don't think Kelly makes it through the whole season, I think folks will target him every chance they get, if he goes down so does OleMiss.

No matter what, anytime an SEC player gets too much attention, somebody on here gets jelly and starts this line of wishful thinking.

Like clockwork.

"Well, Jesus Christ won't make it through the season here in the badass SEC where running through wood chippers is a requirement to take the field. Too soft/fragile."

Was there in person. Your offense struggled against a new defense and you scored 15 points below average while playing at home.

Sweet moral victory on your 20 point loss!

Hey, buddy.

We have scored a total of 3 points in non-garbage time against Ole Miss in the last 2 years.

I think they'll be better than you're giving them credit for. And on top of that, we were lucky to pull out victories the two years before that.

The schedule is front loaded, which helps a bit-- you want the best teams you play to still be figuring things out a bit rather than hitting full stride.

Ole Miss has a pretty huge advantage with a proven QB, over many of the folks on their schedule-- and CK played his absolute best football the back half of last year, showing real progress. That's trouble, if he's that consistent right out of the gate this year.

On the other side of the ball, I thought at times they got ND- obsessed, in terms of scheming to get him one on one match ups. I think they're less talented, but more schematically sound when they didn't play him-- and there will be the nice bonus of not missing him for half a loss because he took a handoff and was concussed.

Record wise, they should regress a little, just from the matchups home/road. I don't expect it to slip that much, though. 8 or 9 wins is very doable.

You have the Alabama game as a for sure loss, but the LSU game as a toss up? Why do you think we have a better chance in tiger stadium, as opposed to Bama at home?

With a 104th ranked pass defense last year I really don't see them winning 8 games. They lost most of their pass rush which will make their weak secondary even worse. Opposing teams will look like B-52's on downtown Baghdad this year and they won't be able to stop it.

104th

Well because Ole Miss always plays LSU to the wire, so I can' really put it down as a sure win. I think you drop at least one between, Bama, Arky and LSU but not all three. So to me Bama is the most likely.

Not at all. We could go with our number 3's and I wouldn't bat an eye. You are the ultimate grinder. Much respect.
