at least there is a new artificial surface at the Cap 1 bowl now.

Yes. I saw some pictures of the field last year on the tiger rant today. Thankfully, the Capital One Bowl fixed that problem.

I didn't know this until this morning. Pathetic.
this is why auto bids need restrictions if they did that and took confernce can only have 2 teams in rule out. then it would make for great games

Im very pleased we are going to dallas and I didnt even go to Orlando last year.

I think bama got a good matchup too, but im certainly not complaining about ours.

the cap1bowl is still played in a shite stadium but thats not why no one wanted to go to it.

how many times do teams go to the same bowl in back to back years? they try to avoid this as much as possible outside of bcs bowls and the little trash bowls

i didn't go to orlando either but i still would rather cotton this year. it just makes more sense for LSU to go to the cotton this year than the cap1bowl.

also rantards need to realize fans bitching one way or the other doesnt send LSU to a certain bowl game.

Sorry for a little sidetrack but I'm shocked an 8-4 temple team got left out. WTF is that about? Bump a crappy 6-6 team from a Big 6 conference and put them in. not fair at all IMO

You forgot one important thing. The opponent! No comparison.

So, you're saying that the first team in decades to defeat Nebraska, Texas and Oklahoma in the same season is not comparable to a team from the over-rated eleven? Alrighty then.

I think he may have been saying A&M is a better opponent but I could be dead wrong

You do realize LSU, ALleva, and Miles lobbied for the cotton bowl, right?

they really are all = they wouldn't be if the league didn't share money but they do. so like i said the cap1 outback and cotton are = bowls. It keeps teams from having to go back to the same shite over and over. its why bowls have flexibility in who they chose. Some people have a hard time grasping the money concept. the bowls are here to make money. LSU playing in the cap1bowl 2 years in a row isn't going to make as much money as LSU playing one year and bama playing in it the next.

nah man it was all the fans bitching. even as dumb as miles is he knows the value of playing in this stadium before the season opener.

This is a test run for next year.

is not the payout irrelevant for SEC teams?

IMHO aTm is actually a better football team than MSU. I think Bama will beat MSU soundly because MSU is really really overrated and Bama matches up with them very well. aTm could pose problems for LSU because I think they will score a decent amount and LSU is not really built to keep up in a shootout. LSU should win, but it is not a lock.

i agree i think the aggies are better than sparty. sparty beat wisky but it was pretty clear they got lucky in doing that.

any game with us is a worry bc of our dog shite offense and the fact if something works we refuse to run it. I still think we win because we will out talent them and when the bowl field isn't complete shite we manage to out coach people.

fully healthy LSU with a month to prepare should win.

i think bama runs all over sparty. it will be interesting to see how saban plays the ginger. If he lets him play all game or since its a bowl that doesn't mean much we might see some of aj mixed in
