Going through HR today and already attending a meeting.
I have no idea in regards to an announcement. Not going to be a name you recognize, but he has worked with a lot of elite talent over the years, and will no doubt be an asset to your staff.
He did much of Butch Davis' QC and was also involved in recruiting and personnel at NC. As a player and coach, I think he took part in multiple state championships at 3 different programs.

Pruitt is bringing more change to our program in one offseason than Richt has in 13 years
If we ever do get a real IPF, you can bet it's because Richt let Pruitt do the talking (apparently people listen to him).

Don't underestimate the significance of all this happening shortly after Adams retired.

Eh. We'll see how many brick and mortar improvements show up in the next 5 years. If we opt to renovate the inside of Stegman, do some expansions for the on-campus SECN studio, continue to renovate Foley, and begin to beautify Sanford, then I'll believe it.
Or if all tailgate limitations on campus are dropped and adequate resources are devoted to maintaining a clean gameday environment. When that happens, then I'll know higer-ups have gotten their heads out of their asses.

Why does it usually seem to take so long from the time the guy has clearly been hired for us to actually announce it?

Probably some contractual issues or other laws/red tape that need to be crossed before it's finalized.
