Your concept of "blue blood" is extremely outdated. Nobody gives a shite that Texas, or USC for that matter, won some games decades ago. Recruits dont give a shite. Potential coaching hires obviously dont give a shite. It's a complete non factor.
The only losers that hang on to this notion are the fans of schools that use to be good but suck now.
