You can thank Rick Stansbury for that.

I was also surprised we win big especially with Jalen Steele being injured.

Go ahead and admit it Al...

It's obvious the guy can coach. Yes, we still are short on talent(and moreso depth) and it doesn't guarantee his long-term success, after we certainly take our lumps this year, but I saw him do more coaching tonight than I've seen Rick Stansbury do in the last 5 years. I saw a well-coached team that reminds me of the Shaka Smart "chaos" style.

The development of Roquez Johnson is nothing short of a miracle. Do you remember another player that made that jump from year 1 to year 2 under Stans? I honestly do not.

You have to also remember that development has also come in just a few months not a full year. Coach Hollender has done a great job working with him and Colin.

Effort makes up for a lot in sports. See the Ole Miss football team.

I saw several regress and or not live up to the hype.

Agreed. Also in reference to Ray and Freeze, the attitude and energy of the coach translates onto the field/court through their players, which is also encouraging.

Exactly. You guys might not beat the more talented teams in the conference but you will beat some of the average talented teams like the Ole Miss football team has this season. Ray is going to do just fine at MSU.

All of this talk just reminds me of how Dooley should've been packin his bags a couple of days ago. No worries though as he will be soon, I'm just impatient

Being at the game, I saw a lot of hustle and good ball movement. Played well on defense and created a lot of turnovers.

Not as talented as years past, but we play as a team and give full effort. Today's game was very refreshing to me I now have hope for the future.

I also noticed our players are in a lot better physical shape. Take lewis for example... he was kind of heavy last year but now he is lean and looks like a ball player. That tells me that Ray has them working and practicing hard.
