You are just fudging the numbers when you look at wins and not %'s. That is how the ACC has sold us a fraudulent bill of goods on how good they are. SEC is the king conference and all others just pretend they have a shot at the throne.

Is there another coach that's won 2 NCAA titles in the SEC (besides Rupp obviously)?

That's the weirdest response I've ever heard to that question.

Really? I thought that was a rather typical response of a Dore fan.

Great accomplishment for him. How long has he been at Florida now anyway? Not counting his week with the magic.

Was it actually a week? Seemed shorter than that.

I think it was really just a couple of days. Still an odd situation all around. He never looked comfortable.

Guy that funded chair in Banking at UK was old Majic owner so there was cross ties there. Trying to remember if he still owned the Majic when Billy hiring happened.

He changed his mind the next day. The Magic front office tried to talk him out of it for a few days and when they realized they couldn't, they released him from his contract and it might have taken a week to draw up the release and get everything signed. He had a provision in his release that he couldn't coach in the NBA for another team for 5 years.

I wish they would have made it 35 years.

I think to make it legal it can only last so long. 35 years sounds like it would be unable to enforce it. What does his last contract take him to at UF?

I am kidding dude.

Current contract I believe is through 2016. It really doesn't matter though because Foley doesn't have buyouts in his contracts and Donovan can stay as long as he wants. He can pretty much tell Foley what he wants to make.

D Brown was second in wins because of blatant cheating in recruiting.

Billy Donovan is the man. I respect his coaching abilities and the way he brings a group of players together.

He is the type of coach you give a lifetime contract.

University of Florida hit gold with Donovan.

If he would've learned better cheating tactics from Alabama football coaches & boosters and applied it to basketball, then we probably would have won a few NCs too. Now we might have been put on probation 47 times, but who cares as long as we could've claimed some titles in the end.

82.18% Rupp (UK)
80.39% Wooden (UCLA)
79.88% Williams (KU and UNC)
79.50% Few (Gonzaga)
79.02% Tarkanian (LBSU / UNLV / FSU)
78.67% McGuire (Marquette)
77.92% Calipari (Massachusetts / Memphis / UK)
77.58% Smith (UNC)
77.39% Matta (Butler / Xavier / Ohio State)
76.32% Krzyzewski (Army and Duke)

Izzo and Donovan are not in this group.

Well....just for the record...Donovan has done his work at a FOOTBALL school and that makes his accomplishments even greater....but we appreciate your reference about win percentage though. BD is young and the SEC is going to face him for maybe close to twenty years or more? Success breeds success and things will get easier when the recruits will be banging on the door.
