Career record of 400-215-2 (65%). In his 9 years at A&M he's made 8 regionals, 3 supers, and 1 CWS. He also has 5 conference titles (2 regular season, 3 tournament, all Big XII)

He's managed A&M to a nation's best 41 wins thus far this year and is currently tied in first the SEC with Vandy and LSU at 16-7. Ags also are up to #2 in the latest RPI.

Overall, not too shabby. He needs more postseason success to move into the upper echelon of baseball coaches.

True, jobs that care about baseball care about post season success, he will never land one unless he improves in this area.

He better at least win that Regional. Otherwise...well, you know where I'm going with this.

Only winning a regional this year would be a disappointment.

We might not win a regional if we don't solve the pitching problem...

Well we are the hottest team in the SEC right now (5 wins in a row) so I think our hitting can carry us. Maybe Stub will be back in time to help out.

I'm just happy to have awesome hitting under Childress for the first time in forever. Lots of great Aggie pitchers have been wasted in the tourney because our offense has sucked.

Quick question. Would you guys claim the title if yall tied us for first place? Even though we won the head to head

Quick question. Who hosted that series?

What a strange question. A&M, like any other school in the nation, would not need to claim, but would be awarded a share of the title. The tiebreaker is there for SEC tourney seedings.

He may have done it a year quicker. Childress took over a team on the downslope. He needed one year to right the ship.

you do realize the team has been playing above their heads pretty much all year dont you?

the fact that they are winning this much with 2 starting pitchers down is incredible

You play above your head for a week or two maybe 3, but this is over 48 games now. We are what our record is. And it could be even better if we stayed healthy.

We are running through a somewhat down SEC. The injuries are bound to catch up at some point.
