shut out USC. Impressive. Was it mostly one pitcher or did the bullpen help a lot. USC is always tough to beat, or a least they have been for the last several years. Again, great job. I didn't think you had it in you.

Steele assisted by some cold weather I would say. Rash pitched a couple innings as well, but Steele was the man today.

Mizzou got solid pitching the entire series, giving up only 6 runs in the 3 games.

It was a good win today but that was today. Tomorrow is a new game and the Hogs need to be focused and play well to win the series. I've competed and coached enough that I don't get too high with a win or too low with a loss. And, if somebody tries to talk to me about “pressure” in a college game or hell even in a professional game I just laugh.
If you want to put it in perspective, pressure is leading a squad into Fallujah knowing that the decisions you make may cost you your life or the lives of those under your command. Now that’s real pressure.

Thanks. Do appreciate it but it really was just one game. I know it was against a really really good team but even the Cubs beat the Cards once in a while. I just want to see constant improvement year to year.

Improvement is the biggest thing. Steps in the right direction lead to success every time. Welcome to the SEC. (I feel like it's appropriate to say that at the beginning of every sport season
