They should have given it to Nick Mullens, Dak Prescott is a good QB but from the couple of Southern Miss games I saw he seemed to be one of the main reasons which got Southern Miss to the conference USA game after going 3-9 & 1-11 the previous 2 years.

Sack 7 times in Egg Bow. 8-4 season no win over LSU , Bama , Ole Miss still wins best player in Mississippi..

He did have a hell of a year. But Monken also recruited something like 20 JUCOs that made this team much different than the prior years.

Mullen just declined comment when asked about Miami.

Notice I said JUCOs. A lot of USM's new kids this year were players that transferred from many good FBS programs.

Everybody is glad that he is gone other than State fans. I hoped he would have won the egg bowl cause he deserved to go out with a win at DWS. I hope State wins the bowl game which is nothing more than a moral victory. I'm excited about the qb dual for next year. Fitz and Staley is gonna be a great battle. If the season started today, it would go to fitz cause of his experience that he got that extra practice during bowl practice but Staley has a lot more upside.
