Confession: I think STTDB is awesome

I mean sure, it’s trashy, but SEC football is expected to be (and is) trashy. Also I don’t get hurt feelings because I’m not old and gay.
I used to love chanting “The South Will Rise Again” during From Dixie With Love, got taken away from us my freshman year at OM and it’s been hollow ever since. At the time I wasn’t thinking of it in racist terms, I just thought we were the epitome of “the south” and it was a harmless, regional pride thing. Oh well, don’t want to get into that too much.
STTDB is ruthless and intimidating when used properly. I’m sure the players love it. The one real kicker that makes it “uncomfortable” is the “bitch” added at the end, because of muh sexism. But every time I’ve seen LSU do it it looks like the girls are every bit as engaged in it as the guys, so I don’t feel much sympathy in that regard.
People in general think LSU fans are trashy drunks, and perceptions don’t change. Embrace it because it looks fun as hell.
Oh, and go to hell

If anything, being a trashy fanbase is something I’d embrace. I love each and every trashy VOLS fan that filters into Neyland and TBA

I embrace it at this point. It isn’t going away and maybe some of those people really do need to suck that tiger’s dick.

Honestly though, it's because of our completely different culture origins.
South Louisiana is predominantly Catholic, the only place in the Old South that is.
Drinking is ok. Dancing is ok. Partying is ok. None of those are anything to be ashamed of here.

I listened to the Cameo song "talkin out the side of your neck" which is where I was told the Neck (STTDB) chant came from, I don't see where or how. When Cameo goes "Heeeeeeeey" they stay on the same note, they don't roll down like in the sttdb chant. And what I hear the LSU band playing in the background doesn't sound anything like the Cameo song.
Can someone break this down for me?
