I cheer for LSU and hope all other games end in a tie.

I support the SEC in general whenever I can. Generally dislike TN but will still support them against "outsiders".

On a second note... Also with his reputation for being a flame happy a-hole, that photo of Sherman makes him look like such a mother f*****.

If Alabama winning the National Championship means we end up with 2 new popcorn stands in the south endzone, I'd rather watch Alabama lose. That's just me though.

Some people enjoy watching our division rivals succeed and our recruits that are on the fence with their decision go to that other school because they see them winning.

I root for other SEC teams.

But honestly, even that is a bit selfish, as the SEC brand is a significant component of our recruiting pitch these days against the B12 schools.

I root for any SEC team.

As said above, the SEC visibility helps us in TX.

I'll root for the SEC if it benefits or has no effect on LSU. Why cheer for another program competing with yours?

I don't think it has anything to do with different SEC schools sharing a bond because the SEC and the South isn't as homogeneous and is a lot more diverse than its given credit for. The entire region and the conference by default has to put up with so much hypocritical bull#### from outsiders that we tend to pull for other SEC schools to shut the traps of Big Ten fans for example.

I like seeing some of the smaller SEC schools like Vandy, UK and the Mississippi schools do well, since they are not known to be football powerhouses, but that's about it.

Other than that, if you're not wearing Crimson and White (or houndstooth), then frick you.

I do too, but in fairness to our SEC brethren I think we have a bit different situation. A&M is far west enough that our two biggest recruiting adversaries are still Texas and OU. LSU probably 3rd. In most of the rest of the SEC, it's a free-for-all for recruits. Plus, A&M has the advantage of the newness of the whole SEC thing: "Come to A&M and play in the premiere conference", when top recruits in the other SEC states never questioned what conference they wanted to play in.

If it wasn't clear before, I (at the moment) pull for any SEC team against a non-SEC team in any sport without question.

I see your point but I'd rather listen to a Michigan state fan chirp their head off over beating Georgia than a Georgia fan talking crap to Michigan State.

Honestly from what I'm seeing it's a lot closer than I thought.

It's at about 65% to 35%

a lot of people hate other SEC teams with me.
