The WAC folded. The Big East is basketball only with Catholic schools.

So that means gymnastics is one of the big sports since it's profitable for us.

No it's no ... no way, no how, is gymnastics profitable. Not anywhere in the country.

There is a difference between "revenue generating" and "profitable" and you cannot show anywhere that Bama gymnastics, as good as they are, turns a profit. Meaning, the revenue they generate exceeds the cost of running the program.

It ain't happenin' ... and I've seen those large crowds for some of y'all's matches ... it still ain't happenin'.

I don't think the WAC folded after it was reorganized and reestablished in the 90s ... I do believe Rice and Fresno State departed to join other conferences though. And those two were the big baseball programs in the old WAC ... before them it was Arizona and ASU in the WAC.

Women's basketball is not big four. Gymnastics maybe..because that is at lesst watchable. Though for other reasons.

And yet again, next year will roll around and Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma, and Okie State will be regarded as CFP contenders despite the fact that none of them play each other until November and they just feast on abysmal competition.

Big12 so overrated, yet OU reaches the Final Four of football and basketball in the same season.

And when Oklahoma loses to either Villanova or the ACC team, it will shift to 9 straight academic years since the Big 12 won a title.

Only 5 more years to go to tie the Big Ten's streak of misery at 14.

Even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and again.

PAC and Irish easily jump OU if they don't screw the pooch in football

Kansas is the B12 alpha dog, so by national logic (the UK effect), B12 is down when Kansas is not on top.

Congrats on dickriding Kansas I guess?

He was asking about the last time the SEC had 2 or more in the same season.

ACC has 2014-2015 (Duke basketball, Virginia baseball)

American has 2013-2014 (Connecticut men's and women's basketball)

Big East has 2012-2013 (Connecticut women and Louisville men were both still in the Big East at the time)

SEC has 2011-2012 (Alabama football, Kentucky basketball), 2010-2011 (Auburn football, South Carolina baseball, *Texas A&M women's basketball were still Big 12), 2009-2010 (Alabama football, South Carolina baseball), 2008-2009 (Florida football, LSU baseball), 2007-2008 (LSU football, Tenneasee women's basketball) and 2006-2007 (Florida football and basketball)

Too bad, it's happening. Women's gymnastics is officially a big sport now.

There really isn't a Power 5, but marketers get paid for content. They prop up the Big 12, but most believe it will go the way of the old Southwest Conference.

A bunch of that talent that used to go into the Big 12 are starting to make their way to SEC schools. I think the talent at A&M, LSU, and Ole Miss have already started to benefit from that decline of the Big 12.
